Addressing Traceability, Risk, and NDPE Expectations
During the engagement session with SD Guthrie’s suppliers and potential suppliers, Inovasi Digital delivered a presentation titled “Traceability, Risk Monitoring, and NDPE Compliance: What Suppliers Need to Prepare for the Sei Mangkei Refinery.” The discussion addressed the increasing expectations placed on suppliers to strengthen supply chain traceability, identify and manage deforestation and peat-related risks, and demonstrate alignment with NDPE (No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation) commitments in an evolving sustainability landscape.
Sharing Practical Experience and Implemented Solutions
Represented by Karlo Nainggolan and Anindyra Aishahrani from the Supplier Group Monitoring Program (SGMP) team, Inovasi Digital shared practical experiences and solutions that have been implemented to support NDPE compliance across palm oil supply chains. The session highlighted how technology and data, through tools such as the SGMP framework, regular monitoring reports, and the Geometrack dashboard, enable suppliers and buyers to identify risks, verify compliance, and develop recovery or re-entry pathways to maintain sustainable market access.
Key Takeaway from the Engagement
The engagement reinforced that effective NDPE compliance requires more than policy commitments alone. Transparent data, continuous monitoring, and clear communication between buyers and suppliers are essential to building accountability and trust across the supply chain. Suppliers benefit most when sustainability expectations are clearly communicated, supported by practical guidance, and backed by systems that enable continuous improvement.
Through this engagement, participants were supported in building a clearer understanding of SD Guthrie’s sustainability expectations and identifying practical steps to strengthen traceability and risk management practices.
Inovasi Digital continues to support the practical implementation of responsible sourcing requirements by bridging data, monitoring systems, and supply chain realities. We appreciate the opportunity to share our experience and look forward to continued collaboration.
